Paris

Paris is the most popular city in Europe.  Paris is the capital of France. It is situated on the Seine River, in the north of France. Paris has a population of 2,249,975 inhabitants. In the 18th century, it was the center stage for many important events in French history, including the English and the French Revolution. Paris is an important center of commerce, fashion, science, and the arts. Paris is known for  breads. Paris Baguette is most famous bakery in the world. Also, Paris is known for The Seine River. It is a 776 km long river and an important commercial waterway within the Paris Basin in the north of France. Notre Dame de Paris is a famous place in Paris.  It is a historic religious cathedral in the fourth arrondissement of Paris.

            The Louvre is a famous Paris museum. It is one of the world’s largest museums and a historic monument. It is located in a central landmark of Paris on the right bank of the Seine. It opened on 40 August, 1793. Nearly 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square meters. The Louvre is the world's most visited museum, and received more than 9.7 million visitors in 2012.[   

Montmartre is a hill in the north of Paris. It is a height of about 130 meters. It is located in the 18th arrondissement, a part of the right bank of the Seine.  The word Montmarte is translated to mean “mountain of the martyr”. Montmartre has long  been known as the premier artist’s enclave in the city. It also is primarilly known for the white-domed Busilica of the Sacre Coeur on its summit and as a nightclub district. Archeological excavations show that the heights of Montmartre was occupied from at least Gallo-Roman times.

My Hometown and Summer Vacation

My hometown, Seoul, is the biggest city in Korea. Seoul is located in the center of the Korean Peninsula. Seoul is the capital of Korea. Seoul has too many people. The population is about ten million. Seoul has many famous places. There is Myeong-dong, one of the central districts of Seoul. This place is a popular shopping district and it has many restaurants. So It is always crowded here. The second place is Namsan Tower. It is very beautiful at night. Especially, this place is a popular place where lovers come on dates. It has a place where people make promises for love with a lock. Finally, Hongdae is famous place for young people. Some people go busking and open free market in the street. It has many theaters. Most students direct plays in a small theater.

    This summer I went to Daejeon. My roomate lives in Daejeon so I visited there. It took about two hours by bus from Seoul to Dajeon. After arriving at Dajeon, I met her and  walked around the central commercial area. It was bigger than Myeong-dong. We went to a a famous restaurant where kalgiksu and stir-fried squid are very delicious and we ate ice cream at Baskin Robbins. After eating, we went to the Daejeon expo by bus. The expo was my most memorable place in Daejon. We saw a music fountain and a bridge at the expo. They were very beautiful and exciting. We took a lot of pictures. I had a good day in Daejeon. I think Daejeon is good city. I’d like to visit to Daejeon again when I get a chance.

    Gyeongju has many attractions. Anapji, Cheomseongdae and the Silla Dynasty tombs are some of the  most  famous Buddhist temple, and  Seokgoram Grotto.  There are also many attractions near Bomun Lake, such as Gyeongju World, two teddy bear and the Sonje Art Museum. Also the Tomb of General Kim Yu -sin has many  cherry blossoms so it is very beautiful in Spring and Gyeongju is situated near the sea. Especially, Gyeongju’s Jusangjeollo Cliff is a nice attraction. There is also Mural Village around there.  Finally, you shouldn`t leave Gyeongju without visiting Bulguksa, the famous Buddhist temple, and Seokgoram Grotto.

Gyeongju Attractions

    Anapji Pond is located in Inwang-dong, Gyeongju-si. The pond is situated at the northeast edge of the Bamwolseong palace site, in central Gyeongju. It is an oval shape; 200m from east to west and 180m from north to south. It contains three small islands. It is monument. It is recorded at Samguk-sagi. Anapji Pond was built during the 14th year of King Munmu of the Silla Kingdom. The pond was originally built in Wolseung Fortrss, but the fortress was destroyed and now lies in ruins.

    Cheomseongdae is located in Inwang-dong, Gyeongju-si. Cheomseongdae is an astronomical observatory in Gyeongju. Choemseongdae means star-gazing tower in Korean. Cheomseongdae is the oldest surviving observatory in East Asia. It dates to the 7th century to the time of kingdom of Silla, which had its capital in Gyeonghu. Cheomseongdae was designated as the country’s 31st national treasure on December20, 1962.

Christiania Paragraph

    Christiania is Denmark’s most popular toutist attractions. Many visitors come to experience this very special and controversial area. The 40 turblent years  history of the freetown began in 1971. Today, around 1000 people live and work in Christiania. They pay rent to the community, and pay the Danish state for water and electricity. Christiania is an alternative society within society, which means the darker sides of modern life are represented. A massive immigration of people from near and far who wanted to create a different life based on community and freedom.
